The general atmosphere was very high, many of the participant knew each other from the seminar last year, and created a good unity from the beginning of the program.
Although the schedule was very intense and challenging, the participants were motivated and with full participation on every activity. At the end of the day they were tired but satisfy.
It was our privilege to have a Champion in Karate (8th degree) who is now humbly practicing the Tong Il Moo Do stile. He lives in a location in Sao Paulo State, named Butucatu, two hours away from Sao Paulo.
He brought two of his students, one brown belt of Karate and the other orange belt. Both with expieriences in other Martial Arts like Kung Fu, Nitshizu and Full Contact. The brown belt received at the end of the workshop the brown belt graduation in Tong-Il Moo-Do with the International Certificate. The orange belt received the blue brown stripe belt in Tong-Il Moo-Do. Instructor Claudimir who already trained in the past Won Hwa Do and Tong-Il Moo-Do but he never had the chance to develop it officially, therefore he teached Karate. And in the year 1994 in Los Angeles, USA, he was World Champion in Karate Full Contact. He compromised to do two day Tong-Il Moo-Do Workshops in several states in Brazil, through his contacts.
In relationship to Chile with more participants one brother who has blue belt in Tong-Il Moo-Do , took responsability to go on with this group in Chile. He already practiced in the past for one year Kung Fu and Won Hwa Do in Argentina. Here stayed a 18 years old Chilean who has brown black stripe belt. He will still stay in Argentina in order to continue the Model Course .
From Uruguay, we had four participants, from which one already was brown belt in Tong-Il Moo-Do. And being part of the workshop staff, teaching TIMD to others, he received the brown black stripe belt. Two of them received blue belt and the last one green belt. The blue belt in second generation and he went through several Martial Arts like Kung Fu, Karate and circular WHD. Now he could get the right TIMD spirit and will be a true representative of this style (He is Cristobal Gonzalez and is 17 years old).
About Argentina, another second generation, Emanuel Sayavedra, who had brown belt, received brown black stripe belt, as he was part of the staff and teached others TIMD. He commited himself to teach in his state, Santa Fe.
Through this seminar we will be able to create strong bonds for Tong Il Moo Do in this four important countries in South America.
