The seminar was held in our Tong-Il Moo-Do dojang in Tsuchiura, Ibaragi from September 21st to 28th , 2003. The total participants were 21. The purpose of the seminar is: I. To bring unity among all the participants. For that, we divided them into 3 teams for cleaning, discussion, and reflection meeting for constant give and take. After the reflection meeting, each team leader gave the reports of some of the moving testimonies. During the training, many times, I could observe the higher belts teaching lower belts with loving and caring heart. So seldom I saw anyone alone during the training. Somehow the spirit of family was developed. That's why the Philippine guests were so moved. Even one of them, came back and rejoined the training. Being reminded of the importance of respect to each other, they tried to raise each others skills during the free sparring in the practice, and the promotion test. During the test, 4 black belts fought against 20 people, and 1 black belt candidate did against 24 people. All of them were melt into one heart for producing 1 black belt and shared joy with him. II. To inherit Heavenly fortune from USA TIMD workshop Tatekimi Matsuzaki shared his experience in USA TIMD workshop several times. He was so moved by all the instructors so united centering on Dr. Seuk. He felt the real family atmosphere there. By showing the vide of the demonstration in front of the Inspirator and Chairman Hyung Jin Nim several times, we renewed our determination of pursuing higher standard. We tried to follow the way they practiced TIMD and engaged in discussion and sharing each other in USA workshop. By that we could receive so much benefit. We also learned the new forms created during USA workshop from Tatekimi Matsuzaki who mastered them very well. We are so grateful for his strong desire to connect this seminar to USA workshop. III. To grasp the TIMD philosophy Instead of listening to the lectures, they practiced team by team every morning how to give lectures through power point. They developed their skills of lectures day by day. They had shown their enthusiasm to master this material to share with many youth. Even though the practice time was limited, it was such a precious opportunity for them to study this material. All of them were given the copies of CD of Power Point so that when they go back to their own places, they can teach. The schedule was: 4:30am wake up 5:00 Hundok Kae 6:00 TIMD(stretching exercise and light training) 7:00 cleaning 7:30 breakfast 8:30 practice of teaching TIMD philosophy 10:00 TIMD 1:00pm lunch 3:00 TIMD 6:30 taking shower 7:00 dinner 8:00 discussion 9:00 reflection meeting team by team 9:30 sharing testimonies, and prayer 10:00 dismiss Some of the other characteristics of the seminar were: 1) The discussion was focused on "how we can spread TIMD". Since many of the participants came with the sense of ownership, they came up with many great ideas and plans, like performing demonstration all over Japan, starting TIMD clubs in universities to gain the membership according to Dr. Seuk's instruction.(By 2004, we gain 2000 membership in Japan. And we produce 240 black belts.) They were so stimulated by discussion so that they were eager to practice each other, having TIMD workshop often and go out for membership. They themselves really determined. 2) Up to the 3rd TIMD workshop, we had to go out to rent the facility for practice. But this time we could use OUR OWN DOJANG!! There are 2 rooms of DOJANG. The 1st floor is equipped with the mats so that we can practice throwing and falling. We will innovate soon by fixing the wall and ceiling. This can be truly TIMD HQ for Japan. We really appreciate President Mr. Matsunami's great help to use the rooms for DOJANG. 3) 5 Philippine women and 1 Philippine man with white and yellow belts joined in our training. They have just started to learn the ideology of TIMD recently. Master James Paranada. Jr. with the help of Master Rico Santos, both of them from Philippine, had developed the TIMD class in one year starting from one student. They have the advertisement of TIMD in their home page in computer, and many people are requiring of TIMD through that. They have created such a family like warm atmosphere in their class. Prior to this seminar, Mr. Matsuzaki and I were truly welcomed by them and taught the class. They gave us great hope and inspiration. Then we invited them to this seminar. We have so much to learn from them how to expand TIMD. We gathered outside on the lawn in the big park, and shared demonstration, practiced together with them and helping each other. All of us were truly uplifted by their visit. 4) Because the testimonies were so inspiring, we couldn't help but sharing each other staying late at night. It was followed by the team leaders meeting to reflect and plan for next day, so they had little sleep every night. But the spiritual benefit was overwhelming for us. One Philippine guest gave his testimony how much he was impressed by their purity and warm heart which he never experienced before. His testimony gave such a big surprise and encouragement to us. 5) Master Rico Santos sacrificed his work for this seminar. He was really determined to produce the World Champion from Japan. Because he was so urged to share the techniques given to him from Heaven, he was strict to all the black belts, giving them hard time especially in raising "Ki" energy. Some of them had to face the wall for many hours with lower stance to generate "Ki". They struggled and even started to have the resentment to him. But eventually they were touched by his love behind. They went through self-denial to grow. I would like to express gratitude for Founder Dr. Seuk for his great expectation to us. We will take action to spread TIMD to raise great leadership.
