Six students were promoted to a higher belt after seven
months of training. The test was given by Master Takamitsu Hoshiko last
November 9, 2003 at Meguro Community Public Center Hall in Tokyo. He was
assisted by two Masters from the Philippines. Five of the students are
Filipinas and the other one is of Indian nationality. One of them had been a
long Tongilmoodo student in the Philippines. The rest are non-members. The
training was initiated in order to expand the scope of our martial arts (to
reach out to non-embers) in Japan especially in Tokyo. It was not an easy start
for there was only one student at the beginning and the dojang was just a
rooftop of an apartment building. As of this time, there are around 10 regular
practitioners from different nationalities. And everyone is doing his best to
increase the membership by the end of this year. Congratulations to the newly
promoted students!
