The workshop began with an opening ceremony on the 12th of February, 2004. The venue was 60 km from Moscow deep in the Russian forest. There were a total of 60 participants, including 34 advanced TIMD members and 26 ILTT (International Leaders' Training Team) members. Since native instructors have been developing their abilities after the Moscow workshop in 2001, they took more responsibility to run this workshop. As an International Instructor, Master Vincent Belmonte came to supervise the workshop, especially focusing on sparring techniques.
All the new ILTT trainees kept a high spirit. Also, the advanced students were very inspired by the demonstration and instruction of sparring techniques by Master Vincent.
On March 2, TIMD Founder Dr. Joon Ho Seuk visited the workshop and gave the philosophy lectures using PowerPoint. All the members were inspired and came to more deeply understand the meaning and importance of the Tong-Il Moo-Do project.
On March 3, a TIMD tournament was held with individual and team form competition as well as sparring competition in order to prepare for the World Championship later this year. The tournament inspired the participants and help to create deep brother and sister heartistic relationships.
For the Northeast Continent TIMD instructors the workshop was a new beginning. With a strong challenging spirit, everyone determined to expand TIMD to schools, universities and institutes and to become champions in the open tournaments of other martial arts schools.
