7 days Tong-Il Moo-Do Workshop

Sasamoto Training Center 14th to 21st March 2004, Nairobi, Kenya

The goal for this Workshop was that all black belts and those aspiring for black belts must be able to present the IEF lectures. This is because they are expected to be responsible leaders who strive hard to achieve maturity of character through training and establish loving relationship through creating good families and eventually participate in positive contribution to the society through creativity and mastering valuable skills.

The conference started with a very high spirit especially with the presence of the Continental Tong-Il Moo-Do Chairman; Rev. Sang Jin lee, the East African Provincial Director: Rev. Mwalagho Kililo and the National Leader Rev. Frederick Wakhisi. The participants were 17 from Kenya, 2 from Uganda, 1 from Burundi, 2 from D..R. Congo , 2 were from Tanzania and the Instructers

The theme of the workshop was 'Exploring all possibilities' and its primary objective was the grading of the brown belts to black belt. This grading has been postponed since last year anticipating the coming of international instructors to officiate the grading. Therefore all the students invested all their effort

Therefore, we felt it was more beneficial to our participant if we had at least a one-week Workshop in which they could undergo the Divine Principle lectures, Character Education lectures, as well as the HIV/AIDS awareness lectures. This was to help the higher belt holders to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to teach Divine Principle and IEF clearly, be able to stand as responsible people and role models in the society, and of paramount importance was to understand the Founder's Vision for Tong-Il Moo-Do.

Lectures

Mainly, the Divine Principle lectures were given by the National Leader: Rev F. Wakhisi . The topics included the principles of the creation, the fall, restoration and the mission of the Messiah. The IEF lectures by Master E. Aketch. The topics included new philosophy for martial arts, need for moral education, and the three life goals. The HIV/Aids awareness lectures by Mr. Emmanuel Tanui; the Chairman of Youth Federation for World Peace Kenya.

We eventually gave an exams on the Lectures.

Morning Study Session

The main text for the hoondok hae every morning at 5:00 am was '' The way of the students'' a book from. Rev Dr Moon. We read and discussed the sub title ''the mysteries of the human body''.

Rev. Dr. Moon exemplifies the human body in such a way that starting with face, hair, eye blows, ears, nose, lips, tongue, neck, hand, fingers, and fingernails, with definitive explanation, and concluding that with the harmony that we see in the way in which it operate.

The conclusion was that all things are there for the purpose of goodness. Thus ''the eye want to see only good things, ears want to hear only good things, the mouth want to taste only good things, even the hands also want to touch only good things, and this is true for all parts of the body".

The logical conclusion is that all organ intention is also goodness and harmonized and hence there must be a god the creator, who's intentions are also goodness..

Out of all this explanations, Dr. Moon can make a perfect matchmaker. Hence most participants concluded that they can entrust him to chose their spouse, and they will apply for the forth coming holy (blessing) marriage ceremony. Most of the participant determined to change their lifestyle and will become true masters who live the way of an ideal martial artist, which in essence is to realize the three life goals .
