Four Day Tong-Il Moo-Do workshop in Kinshasa, DR Congo

The main purpose of the workshop was to revive the internal Do lost by the most of Martial Arts practicers, especially Tong-Il Moo-Do's of DR Congo. Do mean "the Internal path, way of Development which guide us to the Center spirit of the universe". Through the Workshop, we were deeply concerned about the way to lead the participants to find ideal for man and to share their heart by training and to experience community's love which is the extension of the family one. The main theme of the Workshop was '' Inheriting the Original Spirit of the Martial Arts''.

The workshop began on April 29th and was to end on May 2nd 2004. It had a total of 16 participants. The day started at 4.00 am. The participants had 3 lectures a day and group discussions in the night in order to share practically on the theme and the goal of workshop. Participants had training once a day, in the afternoon just after a cleaning the Training Center. Through this kind of schedule, we hoped to help our participants to revive their spirit and to illuminate their internal Do.

By using the tenet of TIMD, participants found a deep aspect of TIMD and how they can live according to the tenet like loyalty, piety, patriotism, perseverance, endurance, fighting injustice, taking care of others. This workshop helped us to make new alignment of the athletes. Now, we have divided the club into 3 parts: * GROUP A: For all the new comers (white belt). They will receive a part of the Internal education, basic concept of the Culture of Heart.

* GROUP B: All the other color belts who didn't attend educational program regularly. The main orientation will be focused to the essence of the Culture of Heart. * GROUP C: 16 athletes who attended the workshop and 6 others who were absent because of their academic schedule. So they will be 22. We divided this group into 3 teams for efficiency. Their educational program will be focused to ownership and the leadership skills. By working in this sense, we hope to give totally our Heart in order to make new TIMD in DR Congo which will be guided by Dieuism and core values as the essence of our actions and activities.
