8th TIMD Leadership Seminar in Japan

February 13~20, 2005

The seminar was held from Feb. 13 to 20 at World Core Value Center at Tsuchiura, Ibaragi. The number of the participants was 15 including 4 from Keio University, 1 from Kyoto University, 1 from Tohoku University, 1 from Waseda University, 1 from Housei University, 1 from Nihon University.

The main purpose of the workshop was how we could use TIMD to contribute to society as the students of universities, and prepare for the 2nd World Martial Arts PKCP Open Tournament this October.

To the most of the participants it gave clear insight of character education. Every day one of the two lectures of TIMD philosophy was delivered by one of the participants, even by white belt student with power point. That experience gave them the confidence and great hope to educate youth effectively by utilizing this material.

These 7 days were truly the training of spirit and body. Black belts invested earnestly to raise up the beginners with warm parental heart and sometimes strict discipline.

The beginners were desperate to follow their instructions, and showed great development in techniques surprisingly within such a short period. This workshop marked the new beginning for the black belts and the birth of the new generation of TIMD in Japan.

Mr. Matsunami, the advisor of TIMD Japan, spoke to them, and gave them the great encouragement. One student from Kyoto Univ. achieved the first degree of Black belt fighting against 21 people consecutively.

As we start the 4th year of Japanese TIMD, and hold the 2nd World Martial Arts KPCP Open Tournament in Japan this year, I would like to acknowledge and express deep appreciation to Dr. Sun Myung Moon, Hyun Jin Moon, Dr. Seuk for their constant inspiration and encouragement, to Master Kensaku Takahashi, Master Don Harbour, Philippine instructors, especially Master James Paranada.Jr, and Master Rico Santos , Mr. Takayuki Matsunami, and Mr. Atsushi Murakami for their support , to all Japanese and Philippine TIMD black belts and students for their commitment and investment, and to all others who contributed the development of TIMD in Japan. Let us work together and bring the great success to the 2nd World Martial Arts PKCP Open Tournament in Japan!
