3-Day Tong-Il Moo-Do Training

The summer was hot! Yet, inspite of the warm season, TIMD was still in its hotpot, alive and kicking! For this, the TIMD headquarters has mobilized the 4 regions of Northern and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Just recently, each region conducted its own 7-Day Tong-Il Moo-Do training. Representatives from the headquarters were sent to every region to correct and standardize the basic techniques and forms of the practitioners in those areas. The regional trainings were held in Dagupan, Legazpi, Iloilo, and Iligan.

TIMD in NCR region will not also let itself to be behind, that's why inspite of the tight schedule of the members, a 3-Day Instructors' Training was held last June 11-13,2005 in UTS-ASIA, Antipolo City, Rizal. The training was very special because it was directly handled by Master Venus Agustin.

There were 20 practitioners who attended the training. With the undying theme: "Advancing Bravely Forward with Discipline", Master Agustin really showed how movements and motions reflects the degree of discipline a person can have. For this reason, he checked and emphasized the basics to the practitioners. He said that it is in the fundamentals that you can perfect your skills and movements.

Though the time was short, a big improvement can be seen in the practitioners. The third day was the promotion and it was this time you can see the standard of Tong-Il Moo-Do because of the refinement of the basic techniques and forms. All of the practitioners were promoted according to their performances. Two black belts went up to 1st degree, a brown belt got his black belt and the three blue belts got their brown belts. One blue belt got a stripe and 5 green belts proceed to blue belts. Two green belts had stripes while 4 yellow belts went up to green belt. Lastly, one white belt got his yellow belt. The practitioners were intended to be the future instructors of the country.

The following activities were only preparations to the coming bigger projects of Tong-Il Moo-Do. It shows that with the determination of our Southeast Asian President together with the cooperation of all the practitioners the providence of TIMD will move on.
