A National 5-day TIMD Instructors' Training was successfully conducted last May 30 to June 3, 2006 at UTS-Asia in Antipolo City, Rizal, Philippines.

Workshop started with Ground technique, and lasted for 3 hours and later whole afternoon we practiced liner and circular motion techniques.

The primary objective of the training was to become quality instructors with both internal and external expertise. The training was unique when compared with past workshops because the aim was not only to perfect and master the technical aspects of training, but to elevate one's commitment to live for others and to be good examples as martial artists. Lecture-practice was done in addition to technical training.

The training was directly led by Asia-TIMD president, Master Venus Agustin. This made the training truly valuable and challenging. As the chief instructor, Master Agustin guided each participant in enhancing their performance as instructors. He also emphasized that all instructors must have a distinct way of teaching and performing TIMD techniques.

Master Edgar Tanate, president of TIMD Philippines, gave guidance through his lecture on the vital role of instructors as parents to their students. He also talked on how to develop "choong" and "hyo" towards one's instructor.

Master Ann Montejo-Arevalo, executive vice president of TIMD Philippines, gave a presentation on how to introduce TIMD as well as shared the history and growth of TIMD in the Philippines. She strongly stressed the importance of vertical alignment as the manifestation of "choong" and "hyo".

A highlight of the training was the formulation, signing and recitation of the Philippine TIMD Honor Code. This code will ensure the preservation and proliferation of TIMD ideals.
