I'd like to report for Tong Il Moo Do 2 days intensive workshop and promotion test. 2 participants were from New York, 2 from New Jersey, 1 from Bridgeport and 4 from Local red hook community and 14 from UTS. Although All 14 UTS students were not able to participate for all workshop due to the pre-final exam week, there are 6 UTS students stayed throughout workshop. Harbour was the Special guest instructor.
Workshop started with Ground technique, and lasted for 3 hours and later whole afternoon we practiced liner and circular motion techniques.
On Friday night, we had Character Point education for 30 minutes and hold discussion on topic "why we are still practicing Tong-Il Moo-Do?" It was very thoughtful, reflective, heart moving discussions. One 16 years old student from NY said that the norm of Urban NY city is drug, sex and violence. And He really want to change the norm of the city though Tong Il Moo Do.
Next day, Saturday, we continued practicing ground technique and ended with liner motion and practice intensely on the form of peace and true love. That night Tong Il Moo Do national leaders meeting were hold among NY, NJ, Bridgeport, and UTS and Master Don where we discussed various ways to expand Tong Il Moo Do.
On Sunday from 2 pm, long waiting promotion test began. Result was followed, 4 promoted to green, 1 promoted to blue, 2 promoted to brown, and 2 promoted to black stripe and 3 promoted to black belt.
