Sabon Terufumi Kawakami, 3rd Dan of TIMD, who is working in Uruguay with Sab?n Andr?s Mautone, 1st Dan, wanted to inaugurate a dojang for Martial Arts Practice in Durazno, Uruguay, and at the same time have promotion tests for the students.
Therefore they invited Sabonim Gustavo Giuliano, 7th Dan, and president de TIMD in Latin-America and Sab?n Juan Jos? Elgul, 2nd Dan, and Secretary General for Latin-America who travelled the 700 kilometres to Durazno City.
The dojang was made with an Oriental touch. A nice Martial Arts environment was created and the expectations of the students as well as the organizers were completely covered with great success.
The workshop was held on August 19 from 9 am to 5 pm. 25 students participated and the staff was composed by Sabonim Gustavo Giuliano, Sabon Kawakami, Sabon Juan Jose Elgul and Sabon Andres Mautone.
Several graduations were given according to the time each student had practiced TIMD and also belts equivalent with other graduations in other martial arts with the promise that they quickly equip their current knowledge of martial arts with that which corresponds to the graduation in TIMD, which was well accepted by those students as they saw the high level of techniques in TIMD.
The lecture about the Philosophy of TIMD was well received by all of the students who listened very attentively. There were students of different ages, from 10 to 42 years, and even a mother, with her daughter and niece who have been practicing long time already.
The advanced students were very inspired and enthusiastic to participate a future workshop in Argentina, only for brown belts.
