On August 22-30, 2006 Kazakhstan students led by instructors Natalya Tsvik and Irina Zablotskaya had a 10 days TIMD workshop at the lake Issykul in Kyrgyzstan. The purpose of the workshop was to raise technical level of the students who potentially can become instructors.
There were 3 trainings a day and one lecture on TIMD philosophy. All the trainings were held outside in the nature at the lake shore or play ground. We combined movable games like football, volleyball, basketball with general trainings and swimming. A lot of attention this time was paid to sparring techniques. Every morning we would start with reading Father's words at the lake shore at sunrise.
Even though it was not habitual for the students to have trainings outside and there were certain challenges, by the end everybody appreciated them a lot, because it gave a sense of oneness with nature.
All the students were very active at TIMD philosophy lectures, as we used a lot of additional IEF materials and tests and discussed all the issues in connection to Kazakh traditions and culture. It also helped us instructors to understand our students much better. A wonderful fact about students was that they all agreed upon abstinence before marriage and fidelity which showed the potential of Kazakh young people to inherit the values of our True Parents.
At the end of the workshop there was a promotion test. As a result two students received green belts, and four - yellow belts.
All the participants were leaving with a high spirit and a desire to have such workshops more often.
