Martial Arts Gala in Germany

February 16th ~ 18th, 2007

From the 16th to 18th February a joint workshop of different martial arts schools took place in Wittenberg/Germany. Apart from Tong-il Moo-Do three other styles were presented: Goju-Ryu-Karate, Hapkido and Shotokan-Karate.

According to the motto: "Don't search for differences, but the things we have in common" all students practiced the presented martial arts styles together. There was one teacher for each style, with Master Schulze teaching the basics of Tong-il Moo-Do. Hereby the focus was set on the flow of energy and correct techniques in conjunction with the right breathing and attitude.

On February 18th a public gala of these four schools was organized in the municipal hall of Wittenberg. With more than 800 spectators the hall was completely sold out. After a collective opening the gala began with a form done by each master, so that the audience could get an idea of the various styles. Following, the students had the opportunity to show the characteristics of their style twice with 15-20 minutes for each presentation.

The Tong-il Moo-Do part performed by the martial arts school Yushinkan was inspired by the fantastic team performances during the 3rd World Peace King Cup in Manila/Philippines.

After reading meditation we demonstrated breaching tests, self defense, children's performance, jumping and rolling, Pyung Hwa Eui Bon, Eye of the tiger, Cham Sarang Eui Bon, Slow motion and many more.

At the end of our performance the audience showed its enthusiasm with standing ovations, so every participant was satisfied and happy having been a part of this event.
