The 6th World Martial Arts Peace Cup Tournament.
The edition of 6th world peace cup 2012 was held at the gymnasium of Choongshim Youth International Center, Cheong Pyeong, Seoul,South Korea on March 22 to 26, 2012, participated by the delegations of five continents namely North & South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Japan & Korea. with their respective selected and qualified athletes. The said event started on March 22 with the registration of participants and orientation program, with the presence of Grand Master Joon Ho Seuk, who gaves the welcome address to the participants, with his encouraging message to be the example as an individual, family and citizens of the modern society, expanding Tong Il Moo Do as one Family under God, promoting world peace through the practice of the values and virtues of martial arts.

Dr Pyung Rae Moon the chairman of Martial Arts Federation of World Peace also shared his opening remarks emphasizing the essence of martial arts in our daily lives, citing the examples of Dr Sun Myung Moons lifes experienced of fulfilling Gods divine calling. He reminds all participants that one of the most important thing in our life is to have peace within us, uniting our mind and body, expanding to our family, society and finally world peace through out the cosmos.

On the morning in the second day, Master Gustavo Giuliano gave a lecture about “Principles of Harmony”, “Three Life Goals” and the Principles of Creation. The participants are attentively listening to the conference, as it is one of the preparation for the two days competition.

Right after lunch at two o`clock, the first eliminatory for form competition started. It is a tough competition since the level of techniques is highly presented in each participants from each country and continent. The first and second eliminatory for individual form competition, team form competition and special form techniques finished up to 9 oclock in the evening.

On the third day the sparring compettion started. There are fifteen categories. Fin weight, fly weight and bantam weight division are dominated by asian people, especially philippine participants due to its low weight. Feather weight division are dominated by German participants. Light weight have tight fight with Russian & South Korean participants. Welter weight h?s a close fight with USA & South Korean participants. Middle weight division h?s a close fight with Germany & USA. Heavy weight division is dominated by Brazilian participants, and finally the super heavy weight participants is dominated by Russia & USA. The sparring competition started with eliminatory process, and was been systematically organized by Master Diosdada Ladica dos Santos with the advanced digital management of creating the chart of each players in each category, and the Head delegation of Bridgeport University Dr Kim helps checking the weight in each category. Dr Venus Agustin the chief of all judges and referee h?s made his job well done, without any complaint from the participants and the whole audience.

On the fourth day the final fight for sparring competition was done with all of the categories, with the final results as stated below.

Right after the final for sparring competitions, the closing ceremony was done with the presence of GrandMaster Dr Joon Ho Seuk, Dr Pyung Rae Moon, Dr Kim of Bridgeport University, Dr Kim of Sun Moon University and Master Takamitsu Hoshiko the overall coordenator & all of Tong Il Moo Do International Instructors and participants, sharing the joy of victory for the success of the event.

The event finished with great enthusiasm of all participants having a cultural show at the evening with the presentation of some testimonies from wallisson delano, athlete from Brazil, Andrea Hammer from Gemany, Adams Khabelaev from Russia, Bernard Villagente from Philippines. Also cultural presentation from Philippine delegation with a “dancing night ”, a group chorals from german team and duet of Brazilian athletes. The cultural night finished with a cheers of Eog Mansie.

On the last day, sight seeing were schedule to visit historical places of South Korea, like the national museum, cheong bok gung unification church international temple, world peace palace Center, with the meeting of the spiritual founder Dr Sun Myung Moon at the Palace Center.
